Independent Reading Reflection

I decided to read the book American Sniper by Chris Kyle. The person who recommended this book to me was my dad because he saw the movie and said that it was breathe taking. I always feel like the books end up being better than the movies so before watching the movie i came to a realization to read the novel first.
This book was amazing. If i had one word to describe this book it would be "wow". This novel is based on a true story about a young Navy Seal sniper who is known to be called a legend on the battlefield. I wonder why? He was known for his precision marksmanship by never missing his targets. He had the most recorded sniper kills in military history. If you are a reader who enjoys reading a book which is action packed and keeps you at the edge of your seat then this is the book for you.
I would most definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in this type of genre and if i have any extra time i'm probably going to read this book again without a doubt.

Family Life Reaction

Family Life by Akhil Sharma was a different novel than i expected. The author put a lot a time into this book and had a strange writing style in which i did not like. This was most definitely not one of my favorite reads, matter of fact I didn't like this book at all. It was way to depressing and had no action what so ever. The only somewhat action scene within this book is when the main characters older brother gets into a major accident causing him to have serve brain damage for the rest of his life. This is known to be the start of the main conflict in the novel. I give Akhil Sharma a lot of credit for writing this book especially since its based on his life story. In the end Sharma finds a way to take care of his older brother while being able to live his own life.
